What do I wear to my spray tan?

Some clients choose to go nude and some wear underwear, tank tops or a swimsuit during their spray tan. Men must wear underwear.

I have pasties and disposable underwear available if you choose.

Just wear whatever you are comfortable in! And remember- you may not apologize for body fat, cellulite, wrinkles, body hair, veins, scars, big or small boobs, or anything else that has to do with your body image. :)

How do I prep for my spray tan?

Prepping your skin is important for the perfect flawless glow and should be done the night before your tan or at minimum 6 hours before.

  • Shower and exfoliate your face and body, we recommend our exfoliating mitt
  • Shave in advance- at least one day prior and when using shaving cream ensure all residue has been rinsed off well
  • No lotion- it is best to not apply any lotion prior to your appointment as it can block the tanning process
  • Wear dark, loose fitting clothes to your appointment

Can I get a spray tan or use the products while pregnant?

Many pregnant women get spray tans as a healthy alternative to tanning! The solution I use is made with natural and organic ingredients. If you are concerned, you should always consult with your doctor first. Message me and I would be happy to provide you the full ingredient list.

When should I get my spray tan?

  • Vacation - 1 day before
  • Wedding- 2 days before
  • Photos- 2 days before
  • Just because- Anytime!

How long does the appointment take?

Your tan will begin with a brief consultation before the spray tan begins to determine your tan shade.

  • Total appointment time is about 15-20 minutes.

How long does a spray tan last?

The longevity of your spray tan depends on your skin type, preparation, and aftercare. Most tans last about a week or longer. To extend your glow, moisturize twice daily, avoid harsh soaps and lotions, and skip heavy exfoliation in the shower.

Should I get Express Solution or 12 hour solution?

We can determine this together at your appointment consult. But in short, both solutions will have the same shade result and both develop in 24 hours. But rinse times differ:

Express: 2-5 hour rinse time. Ideal for Moms that are breastfeeding, gym go-ers, those who don't want to sleep in their tan or if you have plans later that will involve getting sweaty or wet.

Advanced: 12 hour rinse time. Best for late day appointments and when a morning rinse is more convenient.

With both solutions you must avoid water, doing dishes, sweating, touching or resting your hands on your skin until you have had your first rinse.

Can I shave after a spray tan?

Yes, but wait 8-10 hours. Use a new razor only and press lightly. Don't use shaving cream, use a sulfate free conditioner instead, or our cactus & agave body oil.

Can I use the hot tub or go in a pool/bath after my spray tan?

Yes! But you may find your tan doesn't last as long. Rinse well and moisturize each time after using any chlorinated tubs/pools.
